At Semillas Publishing, we also understand that those that wish to get their work published, may not always have the resources or support to pay for the services associated with the process. If you are interested in submitting your work for consideration to be published pro bono, the first step is to send us a query message. Please do not send a full manuscript unless we have requested you to do so. The query message should include:
► A synopsis of your work (no more than 1-2 pages)", or at least 6 samples of your art if you are composing an art book
► Information about yourself (your "story", your greatest inspiration as a writer, previously published work, what you hope to accomplish with the publication of your literary/art work, etc.)
► Your contact information
Feel free to submit your material in either English, Spanish, or Portuguese; what’s important is that you make sure that what you send us is well-written, clear and concise. Once your query letter is ready, send your message via email to j.ashby@semillaspublishing.com. If we are interested in publishing your work, you can expect to receive an answer within three weeks.
We receive a great deal of submissions therefore, if your submission is not chosen, please do not feel discouraged on your path as a writer/author. At Semíllas Publishing, we have a very particular idea regarding the type of literary work we want to represent and publish.

Fiction: Literary, popular fiction
Non-fiction: Memoirs, narrative non-fiction, cookbooks, current affairs, true crime, women’s/men’s issues, multicultural/global issues
Poetry
Children's books
Art books
Categories we are NOT interested in receiving:
New age, genre romance/horror
